In your New Leaf town, you might want to lay down a few rules now that you're the mayor. These are also known as town ordinances and can affect the way your villagers interact with you and your town. So far we know of 4 options you can choose based on what you desire from Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Beautiful TownEdit

In a Beautiful Town, Villagers can water plant and they are more likely to plant flowers themselves. Time travelling (changing the clock for your own gain) does not affect the town's environment, and those blasted Cockroaches will not appear! Weeds are also a bit rarer, making it easier to keep a clean, pretty town.

Wealthy TownEdit

The bells you can get from selling items will rise, but unfortunately buying prices rise too, both by 20%. Medals obtained on the island increase too.

Early Bird TownEdit

For those of you who like to play your game early in the morning, New Leaf gives you this option. It makes the shops open 3 hours early, and gets the villagers up 3 hours earlier too. A very helpful law.

Night Owl TownEdit

Opposite of the early bird rule, this is for those of you who like to play your game late at night, New Leaf gives you this option. It makes the shops close 3 hours later than usual and gets the villagers to stay up 3 hours later too. A very helpful law.
